Data deletion

You can request deletion of information associated with your WhatsApp number from the WhatIVR beta.

Submit a request

1. Open the WhatsApp conversation with the WhatIVR-enabled business number you used.
2. Send the exact text DELETE MY DATA.
3. Follow any identity-verification instructions sent in that same conversation.

If you can no longer access that WhatsApp conversation, email helpdesk@whativr.com or contact the business that invited you and ask it to submit the request to WhatIVR using your full telephone number.

What happens next

We will verify the request and delete or anonymise eligible conversation content and account data within 30 days. We may retain limited information where required by law, for accounting obligations, fraud prevention or the establishment and defence of legal claims. Information retained for those reasons will remain restricted.

Automatic retention

Conversation content is automatically retained for no longer than 30 days after a conversation closes, even if no deletion request is submitted.
